Age Limit:- 18 to 27 years for General category applicants
and 18 to 32 years of age in case of SC/ST candidates and 18 to 30 years for other Backward classes
(OBC) as on 29-04-2014 The upper
age limit is also relaxable for retrenched Central Govt. employees / Departmental
candidates/Ex-serviceman and other eligible categories as per rules.
Pay Scale:- Rs.5200-20200 + Rs.1900 Grade Pay and other allowances
as admissible
Qualification:- 10th pass or ITI equivalent. Knowledge of Hindi/English. Should possess a valid driving licence for both heavy
and light vehicles (Tuck, Jeep and Motorcycle etc.) The licence should also be
valid for hilly areas and it must not have any adverse entries.Should have a good knowledge of the general procedures
of daily, weekly and other types of maintenances of the vehicles. He should be
capable of locating defects and repairing the defects of the various components
of Petrol/diesel engines, lighting systems, suspension and steering systems,
mechanical transmission systems and hydraulic brake systems of Motor transport
vehicle and should have knowledge of various lubricants and their specific
uses. Should have adequate knowledge of the works of fitter
and should be well conversant with the duties of a Motor Mechanic.
How To Apply:- Candidates
fulfilling the above conditions may apply to
anyone of the above Offices/GDCs on prescribed application form. The
under mentioned documents should positively be enclosed with the application
form.
(i) One self addressed
10X22 c.m. size envelope duly affixed worth Rs. 22/- Postal Stamp on it.(ii) Attested photo copies
of Educational qualification, valid Driving License, Caste certificate, Date of
Birth certificate in support.
(iii) Attested photo copies of experience certificate of
Motor Driving, Vehicle repairing work and certificate/diploma of Automobile
trade if any.
(iv) Two pass port size photograph of the candidate duly attested by a
Gazetted officer one should be affixed on the application form. Candidates
already in service of Central/State Govt. & those of public sector
undertaking and autonomous body financed by the Govt. of India should apply
through proper channel. They are also required to attach “No Objection
Certificate” from their present employer along with the application form.
Last date: - Application forms duly
filled in the prescribed (given below) format should reach the above Offices/GDCs on
or before 29-04-2014 positively. Applications received after the last date
will not be considered.
